Children and the Law of Attraction, Leading by Example
The thing I love most about the law of attraction is sharing it with others and watching magic happen. My 9-year-old son, tends to be a bit pessimistic at times. Pessimistic might even be an understatement. Okay, it is an understatement. When I bring up "The Law of Attraction" in my day-to-day conversations with him, he disregards it. I never knew if it was because he just didn't want to give me the satisfaction or because he truly didn't believe in it. I've always struggled with this because I understand the power of thoughts and the impact they have on our lives. I just wanted nothing more than to have my children experience that life-transforming magic; to know that they are the creators of their own little universe.
Last week, a miracle happened - my skeptical little guy ran up to me at the end of the day and yelled "Mom! I used the law of attraction, and it worked!" He explained that he didn't want to go to the after school program that he was scheduled to go to that day and he just couldn't get it out of his mind. He kept thinking of how nice it would be to come down to my office after school. He noticed that as soon as he started focusing on this thought "the lady from the office" walked into his classroom with a little pink slip in her hand informing him that he would be going to my office. He's starting to believe in miracles in our universe and sharing his insights with others now, including his 7-year-old brother.
Yesterday I said to my youngest, "When you get back from your Dad's, the deck on the pool will be done!" He replies, "Well, it might be, but it might not be, we can stay positive about it either way." I said "Where did you learn that?", my oldest pipes in, "We learn it from you, mom, you're a positive thinker." That moment right there makes the difficult job of parenting all worth it.
We have infinite power with our thoughts! Everything is a thought before it is a thing...
